Piccino's expanding into new space, next to new wine and clothing stores

Haven't seen the construction on 22nd Street?

There's some exciting news down in Dogpatch, where local favorite Piccino's is expanding to a large new space. They currently operate out of 801 22nd St., where the restaurant seats 24 inside, with a few outdoor tables.

The new spot, at 845 22nd St, will have room for 70 diners inside and another 35 outside. According to Tablehopper,

The coffee bar will seat an additional 12 to 14 people, and will feature an expanded breakfast menu. The restaurant’s daily menu will continue to feature thin-crust pizzas and many long-standing favorites, plus new special entrées, like meaty roasts or roast quails or risotto, plus a new fry station means dishes like fritto misto. The dessert list will also grow — and another significant expansion will be the wine list..

Along with the new digs for Piccino's, the block will be adding two new destinations as well. A boutique wine store, Dig, "will focus on food-friendly wines from the regions of France and Italy."

The popular Hayes Valley clothier Modern Appealing Clothing, or MAC, will occupy the space between Piccino's and Dig.

Get ready, 22nd Street is about to see some serious improvements.
