We will discuss several ballot issues coming up for your vote in November.
We will also discuss a public safety issue that came up at both of the McKinley Square groups – whether we should consider doing something about the 18th Street pedestrian overpass and/or other pedestrian overpasses. There is some idea that the overpasses are used as a get-away path for criminals. They are also certainly used legitimately as a good con-nector to the Mission – much safer for pedestrians and bicyclists than street routes.
There is talk that we might want to consider closing the overpasses at night, like we do parks, closing them com-pletely, like we did to one further south, or leaving them alone. Come hear reports from two McKinley groups and give us your input.
And for the fun part, we'll have the photographer Emily Payne talking to us about photographing the holidays.
