On Wednesday April 13th at 5:00 AM someone broke into our house (803 De Haro) and stole a purse, a phone and a wallet. I have a large dog who was sleeping in the living room which made it hard for them to keep on looting the house. They did not make it passed the kitchen.
Over the next day we had met with 7 police officers and CSI about this crime with no clear outcome.
At the end of the day I logged into T-mobile to track the record for the stolen phone:

The thief had made 24 local calls from our phone from 5:22 to 6:15AM

-> 21 Calls to 510-467-5120
-> 2 Calls to  510- 827-7782
-> 1 Call to   510-467-5120
-> 1 Call to   415-724-7405

All calls lasted 1 minute except the last call at 510-467-5120 that lasted 2 minutes. They call no other US phone after that. (was he calling his accomplice to pick him up?)
A few hours later they call consistently phone Nicaragua (running my phone bill close to 400$)

We made the police aware of the data. But they have no use for it. No intention of tapping this phone/tracking/investigating previous records of the person's number.

As a community member I feel the need bring this out. Confused, frustrated and concern I am not sure how to proceed. Now, I am sure that they will do it again.

Isn't it time to shut off your phone number with your cell phone service provider?  At least stop running up the bill!  The only way that information of calls made would be useful is if the perpetrator who stole it is known.
