Thursday March 24th there's a joint meeting of the Power Plant and Asthma task forces to discuss how to invest $1 million in mitigation funds created as a result of the closure of the Potrero Power Plant. The monies are supposed to be spent on projects that improve environmental health, mostly in Potrero Hill. This is a serious opportunity to provide your ideas about potential projects -- park improvements, energy efficiency, freeway walls -- that should be provided with funding.
The meeting will be held Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Recology, 900 7th Street. A few more details here: http://sfgsa.org/index.aspx?page=4888.
