St. Mary’s Recreation Center is stop number 10 on How-to Homestead’s 11 in 11 Tour on November 5. Come learn all about San Francisco’s largest wathershed that runs beneath St. Mary’s and discuss the opportunities to daylight it and create more green space and art projects within the watershed. BBQ, potluck, and seed exchange will be going with lots of food for you. All we ask is you bring yourself, a friend or two and a potluck disk to share, as well as any seeds you have collected from your garden to give away and trade.
We will provide vegetarian and meat selections for the grill. In addition, Francisco’s own Goat Family will play their classic blend of countrified dance tunes. Activities begin at 11AM and will run through 3PM. There is a suggested donation of $5 or free with a potluck. It all happens outside behind St. Mary’s Rec Center, so hope for a beautiful day to walk, eat and dance with your neighbors.
