The Rebuild Potrero Community Building Group and Project Team cordially invite all Potrero Hill residents to join us and your neighbors for a Community Garden Focus Group and Workshop
Saturday, August 14, 2010
9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Potrero Hill Recreation Center
801 Arkansas Street
Come talk with your neighbors, learn from gardening experts, explore possibilities, and make your opinions known about what a Potrero Community Garden can be.
Whether you are a resident of Potrero Terrace and Annex or one of its neighbors, a community garden will benefit the WHOLE community. Here are some of the reasons it should matter to YOU!
-- A garden can be a source of fresh food
-- A garden can beautify the landscape for the enjoyment of ALL
-- A garden can be educational, particularly for children
-- A garden can provide job opportunities
-- A garden can build a sense of community
Snacks and drinks will be served.
