Community Building Day and Outdoor Movie Night

On Saturday, August 21st Bridge Housing will be hosting the 2nd annual REBUILD POTRERO COMMUNITY BUILDING DAY.

Activities start at 2:00PM and run until 6:00PM followed by an outdoor Film at 8:00PM.

Last year’s event was attended by over 100 Potrero area families and friends who enjoyed planting trees at Starr King School and renovating planters at the Potrero Family Resource Center. There were plenty of activities for the children, such as tile making, face painting and lots of games.

This year we are planning the same activities and adding a free outdoor movie Walt Disney Animation Studio’s “The Princess and the Frog”. Walt Disney animated musical comedy set in the city of New Orleans. Plans are to show it on the east side of the ball field.

We want to get your thoughts, answer your questions and address any concerns that you might have for that added part of the event. To that end, we are hosting a community meeting at the Recreation Center next Wednesday, August 11th 6:00 PM at the Rec Center.
