Greetings.
Wanted to give you a quick update on a few San Francisco America's Cup 34
fronts.
For those of you that are KQED Forum (FM 88.5) listeners, tune in to the
program tomorrow at 9 a.m. to hear a panel discussing the City's America's
Cup bid (including me on behalf of the City). And feel free to call in and
express your support. Here's a link to the site's page on the program:

In today's Chronicle there was an article about the City's efforts to
bring certainty to our bid package through state legislation -

.
We are actively engaged with local environmental organizations and have
benefited from their engagement. This effort will continue to evolve over
the next week and remains fluid.
Additionally, with respect to action at the State level, the following
resolution has been introduced by the San Francisco delegation. This
resolution is meaningful in that it articulates the states broad and very
specific support for San Francisco's bid to bring the 34th America's Cup
to San Francisco. It is non-binding and along the lines of what the Board
of Supervisors, BCDC and MTC have all done already. It is expected to be
taken up by the Senate and Assembly next week. Feel free to call your
Senator or Assemblymember and express your support.

Lastly, in an effort to centralize and make the background materials we
have regarding our effort available, we have created an AC page here (it
has the economic impact report as well as all official support to date):

Again, thank you for your continued support. In my next update I will let
you know more about the formation of the ACOC and when the AC34 bid
package will be before the Board of Supervisors for review in September.
Thank you.
Kyri
