A Request for Warm Bodies from the Neighborhood!

Hi. I usually post/send out information I think might be useful or interesting to you. Today, I have a request: Some developers at the edge of the Starr King Open Space have been told no parking in the Open Space, and are trying some fancy footwork at the Board of Appeals to get around that. In fact, since they're changing the existing 800 sq ft single family building to a 6,000 sq ft 3 unit building, there will be far more cars wanting to park in our Open Space.

We need to show up in droves at the Board of Appeals on Wednesday evening October 6 at 5:00 p.m. in City Hall, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, Room 416. We can't tell exactly when our issue will come up, but we can make a guess by checking the agenda. (http://www.sfgov3.org/index.aspx?page=878) They usually go from 5 till 8 or 9 at the latest. I'll send an update when they've posted the agenda.

This is exactly the kind of thing we as neighbors need to make an effort to prevent. Bring some reading material or something to occupy your time until our appeal is heard, but please make it to City Hall on October 6th.
